Requirements vary by nationality and residency status, so always verify before booking. As a general guide: GCC nationals travel between member states with just their national ID or passport. UAE residents of other nationalities typically need an eVisa or Visa on Arrival — for example, via Qatar's Hayya Portal, or the GDRFA for entry back into the UAE. A GCC-wide unified tourist visa (similar in concept to the Schengen visa) is also in phased rollout across the region.

Weather & What to Wear
Most of the GCC shares a hot desert climate for much of the year, with Oman's Jebel Akhdar mountains and Salalah's khareef season (June–September) offering cooler, greener exceptions. Pack light, breathable fabrics for city stops, and bring a layer for heavily air-conditioned malls, offices, and airports.
Cultural Considerations
Modest dress is expected in public spaces across the GCC, particularly in Saudi Arabia and Qatar — shoulders and knees covered is a safe default for both men and women outside of resort areas.
